A UNIQUE PRODUCT FOR FUMELESS PICKLING & PASSIVATION ON STAINLESS STEEL

Following are the features of "K-2" :

	Removes built in corrosion.
	Removes scales, discolourations, ferritic contaminations and burns spots.
	Stops corrosion and restores full corrosion resistance.
	Removes metallic contaminants, oxide scales, rust spots and annealing colours.
	Gives a flawless, uniform, smooth & contamination free, sterile, particle free passive surface.
	Mill finish is retained.

"K-2" is available in three following forms having a common functioning of pickling and a common form of passivation:

"K-2" PASTE FORM

This is a gel type chemical applied with a brush to descale the heavy weld scales. It removes discolourations, heat marks, annealing colours, rust particles in and around the welding area caused due to heat evolution during welding. "K-2" paste cleans 90-100 metres of weld seams in 1 kg. of chemical.

HOW TO APPLY K-2 PASTE

Removal of oil - SI- 56 (Soak cleaner, powder - 50 gm/lit.)

K-2 paste is to be applied on the weld seam & surrounding area with a brush.

Leave the K-2 paste on the weld seam for 30-45 minutes depending on the thickness of the oxide scale.

Brush the surface with a plastic bristled brush and then wash surface thoroughly with water.

Next apply K-2 passivation solution and and leave it for 20-25 minutes.

Finally clean the surface thoroughly with water.

"K-2" SPRAY FORM

Internal Pickling & Passivation

External Pickling & Passivation

This is a semi-gel type of chemical and is used to pickle & passivate large surface area with a spray pump. It also simultaneously removes annealing colours, ferritic contamination and weld burns. "K-2" spray is very safe, convenient and easy to use for cleaning large vessels, agitators, tankers, boilers, heat exchangers pressure vessels, storage tanks etc. It also restores the Mill finish. This form of "K-2" cleans 30 –40 sq ft.area with 1 kg. of chemical.

HOW TO APPLY

Removal of oil - SI-56 (Soak cleaner, powder - 50gm/lit.)

K-2 spray is to be sprayed on the S. S. surface with a pressurised plastic spray bottle or spray pump.
After spraying leave it for 30-60 minutes.
Then wash the surface thoroughly with water.
Next apply K-2 passivation solution and leave it for 20-30 mins.
Finally rinse the surface thoroughly with water.

"K-2" DIP FORM

K-2 Dip is in the form of a water thin liquid. It is used for immersion application for non-reachable areas & small components. Cleaning can be done by dipping the article into chemical. For pipeline cleaning, this chemical can be pumped and circulated inside the pipelines for descaling. This form of "K-2" covers 30 –40 sq. ft area with 1 ltr.of chemical.
View Application Video	HOW TO APPLY Removal of oil - SI - 56 ( Soak cleaner, powder - 50 gm/lit.) Just immerse the articles in the dip tank. Leave it for 45-60 minutes. Remove and wash the articles with water thoroughly. Dip the articles again in the K-2 passivating solution for 20-30 minutes. Finally wash the articles with water thoroughly.

"K-2" Passivation has to be used after the application of Paste, Spray or Dip form as it is a must to passivate the articles after pickling. Passivation helps in the formation of a thin passive film on the surface which will protect it from further corrosion and contamination. 1 ltr. of "K-2" passivation covers 30-40 sq ft. Area.

It is a degreasing compound for removal of oil, grease & mild rust scales.

THE UNIQUE FEATURE OF "K-2" IS THAT WITHOUT DAMAGING THE PARENT METAL IT DOES THE FUNCTION OF DESCALEMENT, OXIDE & RUST REMOVAL PLUS GIVING A PASSIVE FILM WHICH AVOIDS FURTHER CORROSION.
