What is ?
A unique product for fumeless Pickling and Passivation for Surface Finishing on Stainless Steel and its alloys.
What is Pickling & Passivation?
Pickling is the removal of defects and also the inherent or thickened oxide film from the surface of the stainless steel.
Passivation is the chemical treatment of stainless steel with a mild oxidant (or acid), such as K-2 Passivation, with the purpose of removing free iron from the surface and speed up the process of forming a protective/passive layer. Passivation is a must after every pickling process.
K-2 products remove built-in corrosion, scales, discoloration and ferritic contamination from stainless steel. It Stops corrosion & restores full corrosion resistance to the treated surface and gives a flawless, uniform, smooth contamination free, sterile, particle-free, passive surface and controls Metal removal. K-2 Removes metallic contaminants, oxide scales, rust spots & annealing
K-2 Products confirm to ASTM-A 380 and ASTM A-967
